Watami ....... A Pleasant Surprise....

Last week, we tried a new Japanese Restaurant at 1 U....
I think previously it was Italianis ... and now become Watami ..
(hmm wonder y Italianis close down .. the food is quite OK though..)

Environment is cozy n modern look... (the base is like the previous restaurant Italianis)

Waitress is friendly n very polite.....

Have wide varieties of food...
One thing that is good ... Many set meals to choose...
It will be very helpful n the cost is cheaper if we order in sets...

Hopefully they manage it well ........

However they run out a lot of food and we don't have much choices to choose.
Maybe their business is very good or their food management supply chain is not good (wrong planning...)
We did not order their set meals .. just some ala carte...

Pizza w BBQ chicken - Nice, The crust is thin n crispy, but portion is a bit small. 

I love the spring onion

Yakitori - taste is OK and the bbq seasoning doesn't enter the meat....

(Ishiyaki garlic rice - Hot Pot Scallop N Prawn)

Taste is Good but the scallop is all crush out (not in full piece)

Fish cake with octopus - They forgot the mayonnaise ... n the taste is normal

(they put a lot of Katsuobushi (thin slices of dry fish) which is very good)

                                   The taste is so so only ... You can try but don't expect a lot.... 

Generally it is OK... but they can further improve..

We did a comment after the meal and they follow up with an email (WHICH IS A PLEASANT SURPRISE)
It is good start ..
At least they take note on their customer's comments and further improve on it...

Hope to see a lot of improvement on the next time we dine in....
Generally I still prefer Sushi Zanmai rather than WATAMI ......
