Restoran Peng Heong Hakka Paikut @ Klang

When speak about Klang .. it is definitely a place for PLC food...
I feel that the food is really authentic ..... and taste is GOOD...

Few weeks ago I accompanied my wife to Klang...
She wasn't so familiar about Klang and I had stay in Klang for 2 years during my college time...
After she finished her stuff she ask me to bring her to eat something "Klang" food..
but she doesn't want to eat Bak Kut Teh
So this restaurant came into my mind....

Peng Heong Hakka Paikut (Hakka Pork Ribs)...
the pic above is the BOSS..

Last time I use to come over here for their famous paikut (pork ribs)....
That time it was operate in a small stall along the street..
Now they had move to a bigger restaurant..
I remember that it was so hot and I was sweating when I had lunch over there...

Spacious and could accommodate a lot of customers....

Their famous Pai Kut...
Meat texture is really nice and the soya sauce is just perfect..

Pig stomach soup..
I remembered last time the soup had a strong pepper taste..
but now the taste was not that strong as previous...
maybe they add more water and the soup was diluted...

We also ordered the fried pork meat balls..
it was one of their signature dish..

Besides that their steam chicken, curry mutton/chicken is also very good..
One of my PLC restaurant..

Just near the restaurant it has the famous Klang cendol .
I remember that after a good meal, we always hop across and have a cool refreshing Klang Cendol...

My Annay (Brother) TM

I offer to collect  Twilight Man's goodies bag and pass to him when we go "yam char" (drink coffee)
since his new "mansion" is near to my "hut"..

Despite of my "heavy" schedule we manage to make it on last Saturday late afternoon....
as he always say that I always put the delay fault to him...
We had tea at Artisan Roast, Taman Tun....

I always wanted to meet TM in person...
Got a feeling that we could click (it souns so gay)....
He was there waiting for me and I was late... (damn paiseh...)
I recognise him when I enter to the cafe....

Yes I am 180 cm....

I thought I am long tall but this guy is even longer...
Very handsome and mature guy...

We were sword fighting chatting for almost 2 hours...
talk and talk and talk....

Annay TM is so generous and he gave me a BIG goodies bag...

TH wrapping paper...
hmmm hope that inside is the RM100 x 1,000pcs.. kakakakaka

He gave me a waist pouch ...
hmmm last chance maybe there are still money inside...

Open sesame ... aiseh .. it is empty..
Hmm I think TM give me this pouch is for me to put all my money inside..
wink wink... so thoughtful of him....

He gave me 2 pcs of mooncake..
aww .. he is so nice & generous...
I am so paiseh.. and i think I got SK's disease and I didn't get him anything at all..
I feel so bad...

Besides that TM also treat me hot choolate.. and we ordered the same thing..
hmmm does it mean that we have the same taste?

It is not over... At the end he gave me a Artisan Roast Coffee bonus card...
A free coffee for me ....

At the end I was so paiseh and I just only could shake his hand and say a BIG THANK YOU to him..

I think month of August (chinese calendar) is a good month for me..
By the way it seems that my coughing had stopped .. double YAY for me...

Have a GOOD SUNDAY.....

Sin Kee @ Brickfields KL

One of my favorite food is Hainanese Chicken Chop...
Yut Kee is still one of the good ones..
However it seems that their quality is dropping..
maybe too many people and they couldn't mantain their quality...

SK told me that the pork chop at Sin Kee is very good...
Me and my wife went over there and tried their pork chop......

Sin Kee restaurant...
We were there about 12pm....
less crowd.... but it was crowded at 1pm...
So go early...

Pork Chop .. looks so delicious..
Sin Kee = RM13 Yut Kee price is RM10... 30% higher...
But Sink Kee's portion is bigger compare to Yut Kee..
Sin Kee has lots of green peas and red beans... and I like the potatoes ..
Yut Kee has a stronger taste on the gravy...
I would prefer Sin Kee...

We look around the shop and we saw that they are actually famous of their "Man" Rice
My wife order that... It was a very big portion
Lot of ingredients (pork. lap cheong)...
But we feel that it was just average...

We ordered a side dish...
Pork soya sauce...
The taste is unique..
They put some "tau chu" and some ginger...
I remember that my mum use to cook this style but she cook it on the fish not pork..
I would say that it is nice... something difference..

I will definitely go back again..
They also offer a lot of dishes and you could have lunch/dinner with your family...
Very nice..... Price is slightly expensive but the portion is BIG .....

Mid Autum Festival (Mooncake Festival)

When I was a kid I always love forward for this Mid Autum Festival...
It is not because of the mooncake .. I am looking forward to play the lantern..
I mean the FIRE to be precisely...
Parents always scold me when I play with fire ...... but this day I got my lisence to play FIRE..
Every year my parents will buy me a Dragon lantern and lots of candle...

Dragon lantern that my mum use to buy for me..

I use the candles to play masak masak (cooking)..... with my kids neighbour..
We use the candles as oil and melt it in a plate..
then we get some leaves, small fruit and begin to fried it...
hmmmm I already start cooking when I was younger...
I still cherish those great moments.....

Last weekend me and my wife went to get some mooncakes..
We always get Foh San mooncake but this year I told my wife to try some others...
Now if you go to a shopping mall you could sell lots small stalls selling all types of mooncake ...
They had actually started the MOONCAKE WAR.. lol..
I could see some sellers are offer Buy 3 free 1 & etc.....

Well this time we choose Tong Kee, Grand Imperial & Lavender...
In our opinion we feel that Lavendar is very nice....
The taste and the sweetnees is perfectly match...

My perfect Mid Autumn Festival will be having some mooncake in my garden with my family.. drinking some chinese tea and enjoy the beautiful full moon......

The 60's Teow Chew Fishball @ Seapark PJ

On Last Sat morning, I went to see doctor for the second time..
The doctor is very friendly and advise me not to eat spicy & fried food ......

So I thought of eating some plain noodles for breakfast before I take the medicine....
I went to The 60's Teow Chew Fish Ball @ Seapark PJ..
I remember that this shop is famous of their fish ball noodles and also their fried "fu pei"
Now it seems there are less customers now.. and I am not sure what is the reason...
I think their food is OK...

I saw a big promotion on the fish ball noodles..

WHAT .. fish ball noodles for only RM3.50??
From 8am until 11am
Normal price = RM5.00

Exactly like the picture..
2 slice of fish cake, 4 fish balls & 2 slice of Yau Mak
What in the picture is what you got.....

It is no gimmick..
At first I thought that they will include some service tax/government tax..
I only pay RM3.50 nett and the portion is quite big...

Clinic Mediviron @ Seapark PJ

Last week was a terrible week for me..
Work had been so stressful and I am glad that everything was moving as accordingly..

Besides that most of my colleagues were sick, some were coughing & sneezing...
All the virus been "flying" around and due to my stressful and tiredness the viruses had penetrate my antibody system...
I got a bad sore throat on last Thursday (or maybe is the pisang goreng) and I feel that I had a slight fever..
After work I went to Mediviron, Seapark.
My company had appointed Mediviron as our panel company doctor...
Luckily there were not many people around.... just 2 people..
However I had to wait for 40 mins..... Itonly take about 5 mins..
2 people only take 10 mins and 30 minutes just for the waiting time for the nurse to call the patient...
Well I am not sure why it was taking so long...

It was my turn....
The doctor asked about my sickness.. Told him that I got a sore throat and I felt that I am having fever...
He checked on my throat and my heart beat ..
It seems everything is over... and there is no checking on my temperature..
I ask him why he didn't do that ? then only he measure my temperature.....
hmm .....  I said that I got fever and he didn't even checked my temperature?
Well is it better to walk in the pharmacy and just ask the physician to give me some medicine for my sickness?
It was Thursday maybe the doctor thought that I just want an MC for the day off on Friday...
so maybe he thought that I am faking my sickness...

My sore throat was not getting better .. and my my wife ask me to go to see doctor for the second time...
Of course not Mediviron for the second time...

These are my best friends....

My weekend is just eating medicine & sleeping...
I still have not recover fully... and I am 2 kg lighter...

Have a good week ahead....

Pisang Goreng (Fried Banana) @ Brickfields KL

As I say that I will talk about BANANA today..

Last Sunday I was having lunch at Brickfield.
My wife told me that there is a famous pisang goreng at that area..
We searched for it and found it...

This goreng pisang is in front of restoran Yit Seang
The fried flour is mix in a claypot..
hmm wonder why...

They use good oils..
which is the most important frying stuff...
some seller use those cheap packet oil....
The oil also looks fresh and NOT OVER USED BLACK FRYING OIL..

They use those ROTTEN RIPE BANANA....
make it extra sweet..

I buy the fried banana and the fried yam...
do you know why there is a hole on the fried yam?
this is because they do a Quality check whether the yam is cook or not..
If it is not cook they fried it again..
Then I also see that they cut (potong) off those rotten area on the banana..

Well as they say that GOOD QUALITY DOESN'T COME CHEAP....
I didn't order the curry puff.. I think it should be nice too....

P/S : I found another hidden gem in the Restaurant Sit Yiang...
I was informed that their CKT is very nice (you can see it in my first picture)..
one day I shall come back and try it...

Luscious Red Cherries

When I was a kid I never like to eat cherries....
This is because I always remember that cherries always taste like cough mixture... blerghhhh

Then during my uni times, I have the chance to eat fresh cherries ...
Taste was so sweet and I love to eat cherries from then onward....

I was around at JJ 1U and I saw a lot of fresh cherries from Canada & US...
and I grab 2 boxes of it.....
within the night me and my wife had finished up the 2 boxes...

Fresh cherries - RM11.80/box
:( very expensive.....

I remember that I have a friend who love to drink cherry cocktail.....
and she got a little trick of hers that she could use her tongue to tie a knot on the cherry stem....
no wonder she was hot among all my friends...

Tie a knot using your flexible tongue...

I goggle a bit on this special skill..
there is this step by step to teach you on how to tie a knot on the cherry stem with your tongue.

here it is...
kekeke .. my tongue was not so flexible ..
my fingers are equally good to tie the knot..
try it and maybe you could gain this "special skill" and someone will love it...
