All my friends had been asking me when I am going back to Ipoh..
I said most probably will be 21/Jan (Sat)...
They replied ... the traffic will be damn bad .... good luck to u..
Hmm could it be?... on 2nd thought cham le if it is really true..
Kiasu a bit and I told my wife to go back @ 6am in the morning...
My wife's eyes wanted to pop out... with a very sad face..... really huh?
Hmm .. shall c how ... besides that tomorrow I need to go to the wet market to buy some stuff for CNY prayers n CNY souvenir for mum..
7.00am - Off to SS2 wet market...
Traffic is already bad around the area and I had to parked my car a few roads away.
All the cars are jammed up the main street of the wet market.....
Those ppl were double park and waiting for car park .. sigh .. well have to walk a bit in order to avoid the jam.
SS2 - Traffic Jam as early 7am
I bought 1 box of honey lokam (40pcs - RM35), chrysantenum flowers, pisang, kuih, pineapple (for prayers).
8.00am - Reached home and prepare all the stuff for prayers
8.30am - Load all the luggage (for 4 days 3 night) into the car
9.00am - Ready to start the journey to IPOH...
9.15am - Takeaway some dim sum for breakfast
9.30am - Reached Damansara (North South highway)..... I saw that the direction to Ipoh is packed with cars......
My wife ask me to head to Bukit Jelutong to take the Guthrie highway that lead to Rawang...
Guthrie highway was very smoothly and not many cars... still happy mood...
10.00am - entering to North South highway (Rawang) .... many cars ...
10.00am~2.30pm : Stuck all the way to Ipoh.....
There are no accidents along the journey.. the jam is @ the exit area (Tanjung Malim) & also the rest area @ Tanjung Malim.
They had blocked the RnR at Tanjung Malim and caused all the cars had to stop at the road side....
Before reaching Tanjung Malim .. the driving speed is from 0~20km/hr.....
If this condition maintain then I shall take 10 hours to reach ipoh
( 200km/20km/hr = 10 hours)
Sighhhhhhh .....
It was relieved after the Tanjung Malim RnR... the traffic was smooth again ..
Hopefully it will be this smooth until I reached IPOH......
I was devastated that it is the same condition when it reached to every RnR...

Finally reached Ipoh .. after 5 hours drive....
I am so tired when arrived home and I was very happy to c my MUM n DAD..........
Good to back home for CNY.......... others does not matter anymore.......
yikes, five hours! should be able to pass penang by then on a normal day, right. but i hope you're having a good time with your family, so yeah, it should be worth it. once a year :D
