Wanna go for a date?

It was friday.. and lots of my friends called me up and ask me to join them for Happy Hour..Then after my lunch, I got a call from Fui Fui....

Fui Fui : Hey... I want to date you tonight.. ..
(I was like .. ahmm ahmm .... eee ..... ooo)
Fui Fui : I read your post about the flowers and bear bear... is nice..  so what time you be back home?
Me : OK.. let's go for a date .. I be back around 6.30pm...
Fui Fui : That's great...  c u then.. (kiss kiss)
Well of course I choose for having dinner with my wife rather than happy hour (ahem.. ahem..)
My wife was craving for japanese ramen ..
We went to 1U... and decided to try the Hokkaido Ramen at Isetan..

The food we ordered:-

Hokkaido Tonkotsu ramen..
I love this soup .. it has a strong aroma of sesame..
it is not so oily compare to Menya...Menya Musashi

I love the egg which is not so dry.. but it still not perfect..
The egg is better compare to Menya Mushahi..
then the Char Siu.. was just nice .. the combination of fat and meat..

but after the meal I saw this...
my wife throw away the fats.... and she doesn't let me to eat it..

Fried Chicken Don..
I like the fried chicken .. and it was really chrispy and nice..
Then plus the sesame & mayonnise..
I enjoyed this...
Okonomiyaki Gyoza..
It is really good..
They put some mayonise, teriyaki sauce & katsuobushi (dried fish flakes)..

We both enjoy the dinner so much.....
Hokkaido ramen is less noisier compare to Menya
If you ask me.. I will choose Hokkaido Ramen.. Why?
1) Less crowded...
2) I prefer their food .. more suitable to my preference taste...

There are small hiccup on that day.. they mixed up some of the orders...
But I guess is the problem on the system.. so other than this .. everything is perfect...

Then we went to walk around the japanese section corner and we got some tidbits..

We love to eat tidbits .. while watching TV..
P/S : I will think twice if I need to post anything "lovely & romantic" on Friday.. :)

  4. Why want to attend to your 猪朋狗友 when you have someone more worthy to spend the time with?

Eating ramen is more healthy than beer and "blow water" session.

  22. so, based on the photo, does your wife think the chef at hokkaido ramen or the chef at menya musashi next door is more leng chai? (both look like an A-minus, or 8/10, to me) :D

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. sean .. now you become a leng chai expert..
      A- or 8/10.. LOL
well I think a girl point of view about leng chai is yes or no.. no grading...
it is either her type of tea or not...
now you could introduce this type of grading in your food review...

  36. I think I need to lay off from Japanese food for a while. Right after my week long trip to Japan,my aunty threw her birthday party at Jogoya and I realised my serious phobia on seeing the buffet food cos I had Japanese food everyday. Once I have gotten better, I will try the outlet you went. I always loved Ramen! I wanna see whether it is better than the one in the back lane of Taman Desa which is crowded with Japanese people every night.
