These Ba Chang is for the Ching Ming festival...
My MIL make some Ba Chang for the prayers....
When she make Ba Chang .. I always pre-order 10~20 pcs..
if not surely not enough ..... coz a lot of my relatives also ask a lot from her..
I always love the Ba Chang that she made..
It is very nice and she put lots of ingredients inside.....

wow, she's VERY generous with the ingredients she stuffs inside! there's more meat and more scallops compared to rice. my favorite ingredients would actually be the salted egg yolk and the chestnuts :D

ReplyDeleteWaa...got dried scallop summore. So, laku..must be very nice..Nowadays outside selling Bak Zhang are so expensive. And what you get are usually 1 big piece of 'Fei G yuk'. =p

I think there is one year that they found the chemical contents is too high..
My mother is also good in making bak chang :) Home made bak chang is definitely the best compares to commercialize ones.

My MIL also makes bak chang during Ching Ming festival. She is selling it too. But then, Son in Law also still needs to pre-order one ah? I thought she will reserve some for you.
