That day I woke up at 5.30am and went to buy some "Pau" for Ching Ming.......
We went to a Dim Sum restaurant in Bercham...
When we reached there.. they just started open the shop..
Preparing ......
There are few customers start coming in eventhough the shop just open...
I guess their age is around 60~70 years old...
They got themself a newspaper and a teapot of chinese tea ...
Reading the newspaper and drink some tea while waiting for the Dim Sums....
Then discuss with their friend on the news that there read in the newspaper...
The kong kong n poh poh enjoy their yam cha...
Finally the pau is ready........
sorry kinda blur.. but the pau over there is not bad...
very juicy.... but kinda pricy.. RM1.60/pc
hmmmmm will I ended in the NEW PARADISE when I am old?
Oooh that looks soooo good.
ReplyDeleteI thought there's this very famous dim sum place in Ipoh - Foh San or whatever? The char siewe pao here certainly looks good though... Yummmm!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFoh San is the famous one ..
Deletebut kinda sien with all the waiting and staring at ppl eating when waiting for table...
it makes you hungry and tires...
So I like to try out all the dark horse...
Ipoh is famous with dim sum, like Fu San, Ming Kok and Gunung Rapat tai pau. hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteoooo .. gunung rapat Tai Pau..

The Pau looks good! I think Ipoh is another food paradise~
ReplyDeletetrue .. but the cost of living in Ipoh is kinda high now...
Deletei love these old fashion shops. even if food is not so good, the ambience that makes up for it though seriously I get better dim sum at such old shops. The ingredients may not be so exquisite but heck it is good.
ReplyDeletehehehe.. we have the same thoughts....
Deletefurthermore we do not need to be hurry when ppl keep on staring at you for your table...
I could comfortably have some chat with my parents/friends while enjoy the chinese tea and dim sum....
I usually see people blog about the infamous Foh San and Ming Kok. But hardly see those hidden gems (aka old kopitiam) in review. Those are truly thumbs up because I personally think that Foh San and so are too commercialized.
ReplyDeleteactually i miss the old Foh San....
Deletenow it is one of the Foreigners food paradise.. LOL..
I've never seem this place in Ipoh when I was there. But did try the famous Chicken Rice Tauge there.

ReplyDeleteIts been a long time since I have been to Ipoh. Its my mum's home town and I still remember during my younger days in Ipoh, enjoying all the food and the price was so cheap at the same time. The pau looks tempting to me too.
