Last weekend me and wife travel down to South....
My wife was so excited and she could not sleep on Friday night...
She was busy checking out some good makan (eating) places and nice places to visit...
This is the first time that I travel with her to the Southern places..
Previously I use to travel to Malacca at least 1x/week and I told her all the great food and fun places..
So this time she told me that I must bring her to see all those places and eat all those good food..
We started our journey about 8.30am....
First stop... Pasar Besar Seremban........
My ex colleague brought me to this place.. He grew up in Seremban..
I remembered that when we go to Malacca for business trip we will stop by at this place to have our breakfast..
My wife was so excited when we enter to the food court in the Pasar Besar ..
There are so many stalls in the food court and so many people eating over there..
I could feel that she wanted to try all the food .. LOL...
but her stomach stop her...
I could see that almost all the stalls are run by Chinese .. not like in KL .. all are foreigners...
The best thing about the food there is CHEAP ..
Most of the food are cost RM3.50(USD1.20)/bowl....
It is definetely a PLC.. I think Ipoh food are more expensive that Seremban....
Here are the food that we took ..
and if you travel down south please stop by at Seremban for PLC breakfast..
my hometown and growing up place!! My uncle used to do business in the market, and we got so familiar with the place, we basically allowed to 'run wild' there... my favourite is the sotong mee hoon. .and did you notice that most of the food is different from what we get in KL? hehehe..
ReplyDeleteexactly ..
Deleteseremban is more very traditional taste.. it is simple and nice..
KL food are all fine tune...
Seremban market PLC ah! Come to Taiping, lagi PLC.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Taiping has food havens! What is PLC?
DeletePLC - Pang Leng Cheng.. hahaha..
DeleteI tot a lot KL ppl know about this?
Ya, SP, come to Taiping and we feed you full~~until you have to crawl back to your car, hahaha!
DeleteOk I call the gang to come over and go to Taiping to eat..
Deleteso you belanja us right?
then I want to see whether our stomach full first or your wallet empty first.. lol
hahahahaha!! yes, we hear that!! the sisters Yan and Yvonne will belanja us until their wallets go empty if we go up to Taiping!! :D
DeleteSecond album post, SK must be very happy that we are fully utilized his scripts.
ReplyDeleteyeah, of course i am happy there are more readers using my scripts!! but then i also not happy because it seems to not work well with mobile display on mobile devices leh.. wonder what happened as it has been working well, suddenly not working~~ :(
DeleteThis post has more pictures. Again, SP, you are not bad la!
ReplyDeleteI think there are still some problems...
DeleteWhen I paste the script inside it say that the tag is broken..
don't worry that blogger complains about the broken tag.. because in HTML they must have opening tags and closing tags in < and >... but then inside my scripts i have logic that use < and > to denote less than and greater than, that's why it complains lor.. just ignore that it will work..
DeleteSo, only Small Kuching, Yvonne, you and me are using this photo album. SK wants at least 5 person using. Who will be the next person ? lina or TM?
ReplyDeleteIf everyone use this album, then all blogs will look alike. No?
DeleteTM, try SK's script la, he's willing to share then we must appreciate. But then, granny too old to learn? Wakakaka!
Deleteyah le .. he make it and share with us..
Deletemust appreciate his effort ..like what he say die die also must try...
thanks all for trying.. but actually i found out still got problem with the photo album when i use iPhone to view your blogs lah, if you have chosen the mobile version display rather than full web display on mobile devices.. the photos does not hide automatically when first load.. strange that it works well last time.. i must drill down on this issue again, please bear with me for a moment.. :)
Deletemy friend said, the beef noodle is berry yum!
ReplyDeleteI think so..
Deletemy friend told me too..
My hubs from Seremban but we never go out makan-makan. It's always terus back to his parents house..
ReplyDeleteYour hubby want to eat his mum homecook food mah.. kakaka
Deletebut me terrible I go back to Ipoh and must eat outside food..
I thought go to market buy fresh produce... rupa-rupanya go and eat!
ReplyDeletehow la go buy vege. Later how to punggah to hotel LOL
DeleteHeheh, Lina, I thought the same initially. Wet market wor, sure buy ikan and sayur.
Deletehahaha . you think I go beli sayur meh.
Deletemain masak masak when travel to Seremban.. aiyo...
i think the cooked food in market is more interesting and attractive than the fresh produce.. wakakakaka!! because they are PLC~~
Deletethose assorted kuih muih looks like our version of "kakanin' ... most of them are sticky rice and other sweet delicacies
ReplyDeleteyes .. those are the ones that we normally eat during breakfast..
DeleteSP always make non-halal post. I cannot comment much. hu~
ReplyDeleteThe sugar cane halal mah. can comment on that :P
DeleteLina sorry le.. chinese food mah..
Deletehehehe, lina, you can "pretend" to comment even if those are halal food mah, hahahaha!! remember, just for the sake of spamming wat~~ :D
Deletespeaking of sweet.. i am intrigued with the cane juice.. I wonder how sweet it is...knowing that it's fresh.. are they adding any flavor to it too?
ReplyDeletenope just a fresh sugar cane juice from the machine..
Deleteit was real good too..
I seldom eat at the pasar. It's a bit congested, I would say.
ReplyDeleteActually I like to go wet market..
DeleteEventhough it is congested but the food is good and cheap....
After morning with my wife we use to go to market for some breakfast and then buy some meat and vege..
Woi... Woi.... What is PLC? Sounds so vulgar to me. Kekekekeke!!
ReplyDeleteannay TM apalah you...
DeleteKNN is vulgar la . kakakakaka
KNN is not vulgar lah. It is famous Penang vocabs!
DeletePLC = Peng Leng Cheng lah.. cheap, nice and tasty!!
DeleteKNN is considered common vocab for Anay lah.. he even likes to say KNLBCCB but that also considered mild to him lah, wakakakakaka!!
Dei Thambee, you typed wrongly. I used to say KNNCCB!!!!! WHAT IS KNLBCCB????
DeleteI also like to go to market areas for food, always cheaper though some have dirty rats and stray dogs all over the place!
ReplyDeleteNot only dirty rats, the cats are not doing their job - just purr at the patrons for free food. Opps... hopefully I didn't offend small meow meow.
DeleteYvoonne.. kakakaka..
Deletethat kucing eat good food le ..
not tangkap rats .. kakakaka..
later she will food poisoning when eat those dirty rats.. lol
You guys ate a lot for breakfast! I normally eat little for breakfast as my tummy still asleep.
ReplyDeleteme and my wife are big eater.. :)
Deleteerrr, breakfast is very important!! i can also eat a lot for breakfast!! especially if it's continental breakfast buffet at hotels.. i can have rounds and rounds of it, eat until i look round too!! :D
DeleteI never tried the hawker fares in Seremban yet as I always thought they are most famous for Seremban Siew Pau!
ReplyDeleteaiyo .. you miss out a lot of great stuff..
DeleteI want to be the 5th person to use..but so far, I still dont understand how it is done yet.. :(
ReplyDeleteHappy makan-ing! Do post up more food pictures to show us...
sure.. actually it wasn't so tough..
Deletejust try and error.. it was my 8th attempt and then it work..
yalar, very simple only.. maybe because SP used the old PDF that's why he tried 7 times.. after he downloaded the new PDF, it's the 8th time and he is successful~~ :D

ReplyDeletefood is really fantastic...

you know, i lived in malacca for 18 years of my life and i've lived in kl for 14 years ... seremban is just in between both cities, but i've never eaten in seremban before. maybe someday (maybe after i retire), i should take the one-hour drive to seremban and go enjoy some hakka mee too :D
ReplyDeletewhy after you retire?
Deleteyou can always stop by when you go back to Malacca...
ooh the best spot to find fresh and good food deals - wet markets :-)
ReplyDeleteyes I agree..
DeleteNever been to Seremban. Hope to drop by someday...meet blogger friends there.
ReplyDeleteI know who you want to meet . lol..
Deletewaiyo! you ate a lot of Hakka food in Seremban! :) I'm a Hakka by the way. :) the food looked mighty fine. RM3.50 is very much Sarawak food standard price. Some noodles can be even cheaper. You and your missus can consider moving to this part of Malaysia. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's great to hear that food is cheap somewhere. It gets so expensive these days. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteThe beef noodles looks good and reasonably priced. I have been here before but never really stopped by to buy anything.
ReplyDeleteI also think Ipoh food is more expensive than Seremban!
ReplyDeleteBut I seldom go Seremban! What's nice there?
ReplyDeleteBesides food, nothing to see in Seremban right? : )
ReplyDeletewah, i actually have not been to Seremban before, at all!! i only heard of their grilled crabs and of course the very famous seremban siew pao only..
ReplyDeletethis wet market looks great, so many stalls selling cooked food, just like those in SG.. one shop tightly next to another..
ReplyDeletehmmm, they call 瀨粉 as 老鼠粉?? so funny, but it's clearly written on it's signboard as 瀨粉 wat, right??
ReplyDeletefuyoh, i like that array of nyonya kuih!! so many choices, and i sure gets very excited and cannot decide which one i want, hahahaha~~ this is what you call 花多眼亂 lor~~
ReplyDeletei like that 魷魚米粉, never tried before.. it looks nice and sounds nice from your description also.. something new and maybe only available in Seremban huh??
ReplyDeleteYup, Ipoh's food is getting more expensive ~ which is the only thing that I dislike abt Ipoh ~ hahaha
ReplyDelete1st time dropping by ^^
Your wife just like kid, can't sleep a night before a trip next day :)
ReplyDeleteyou wife is so cute, hehehe..my husband is Seremban lang, but he never bring me to Pasar Besar Seremban before. I must ask him to bring me there to look for good foods and i like those stalls run by local people, taste nicer than prepared by foreigner.
ReplyDeleteAir Tebu Sedap! Ngau Lam Mee also sedap~
