I had been craving for Ipoh Chee Cheung Fun (CCF) since then....
When I went back to Ipoh.... my food list is CCF, CCF and CCF.. lol..
My mum always ask me what I would want to eat?
I say CCF .. then my mum ask me again .. besides CCF?
hmmm CCF and CCF...
My mum must be thinking......
"sui chai" (bad boy) didn't you know it is my birthday and you don't even want to treat me good dinner ..
only want to eat CCF .. lol
You must be wonder why I say 3 times CCF right...
I wanted to eat 3 types of Ipoh CCF
CCF 1 - Dried Prawn Chee Cheung Fun with mushroom sauce
I love this old man CCF..
His CCF was reviewed in the Star newspaper
This is the mushroom chicken CCF with wolfberries...
I put too much of gravy..... (too greedy)..
CCF 2- Chee Cheung Fun with Vege stuffing & mushroom sauce...
This is my fav CCF ...
It has some fried shallots and dried prawns on top...
some sweet sauce (tim cheung) & green chilli pepper..
my wife loves it also...
the stuffing are long beans & sengkuang
CCF 3- CCF with curry gravy & pig skin.
Well I skip this as it is very common in KL (my tummy can't fill up so many things).
I have to save up rooms for other good food....
Need to keep my mum's SOUR HAPPY FACE :) since it is her Birthday..
I didn't know there are so many varieties of CCF. No wonder you can eat CCF everyday =D
ReplyDeletewah.. eye opener.. never know got such CCF in Ipoh.. where where? So I can go ronda ronda also if I go back to Ipoh...
ReplyDeletehahaha .. the easiest one is the the famous Thean Chun (or Kong Heng)...
DeleteI love the stuffing CCF and the mushroom sauce....
For me I like my CCF to be simple, not cut,not opened, just rolls of them, simple sweet sauce, chilly sauce and sesame seed, shrimp paste,,that's good enouh
ReplyDeleteI like my CCF the same version as Eugene, but skip the shrimp paste for me, please~~
Deleteshrimp CCF is the best 1 LOL
Deletedrooling agaaain.... honestly i'm not familiar with the dish but it looks great to me
ReplyDeletehaha, Ipoh people always say Ipoh food is nicer than KL food.. but at least better than Penang people, cos they think nowhere else's food is better than Penang :D
ReplyDeletewah, you like CCF so much one ah?? actually i've only been to Ipoh once.. have not tried the CCF there yet..
Deletethe mushroom chicken CCF is so special!! like soup noodles leh.. really a new kind of CCF for me lor.. actually tastes like koay teow i supposed??
Deletethe second CCF looks more familiar lah.. i like it because got vege stuffed inside the CCF!! but i like the browned shallots garnishing the CCF more lor, haha, sure add more taste to the entire dish!! 畫龍點睛~~
Deletethe third CCF, hahaha!! common with curry gravy but not that common with the pig skin lah.. in fact, there's one very nice PLC CCF with curry gravy and pig skin in KL.. heard of Pudu 為食街?? actually it's Jalan Sayur lah..
Deletethey sell CCF, yam cake, fried beehoon, tong shui etc.. i also like their yam cake, very nice!! and of course the browned shallots, sesame and fried prawns they use to garnish the thing, so yummy!!

ReplyDeletesuichai means lengchai... hahahaa...
ReplyDeleteby the way, the CCF u shown above, they are from IPOH or KL? The best CCF (my opinion) in Ipoh is the Canning Garden "Grumbling Man" (only daytime)... then Waller Court (handsome man.. those days la!)... then Pasir Pinji (Par Pai lady-long time I didnt go)... some more.. er... the Friendly Man in House of Mirrors, Old town..
So have you tried the above yet? :))
All the CCF from Ipoh
DeleteThe one with mushroom is opposite the Sam Tet's primary school (the whole role with Hawker center)
my mum is hakka .. so sui is bad...
if my dad is hokkien and when he say sui .. then I know he meant leng..
wah I forget those CCF.. especially the pasir pinji . (very lan si)
The one with the stuffing is rfom house of mirrors (thean chun)
