Actually I had planned it since few weeks ago and I have not bother to book the hotel first..
I thought it wasn't any special day.. not a school holiday, not public holiday, not Singapore holiday..
so I just take my time and plan to do the last minute booking.......
My wife told me better to book the hotel now....
I call up Courtyard @ Heeren Boutique Hotel.. (as my friend told me that the Hotel is good).
Courtyard @ Heeren Boutique Hotel...
HUH... I asked the receptionist are your sure..?
at this time and it is fully book....
hmm I maybe this Hotel is really good .. and maybe the rooms are limited..
Then I tried Renaissance.... Equatorial .. all fully book too....
Then the list goes on Casa Del Rio, Philea Resort & Spa, Holiday Inn ......
hmm what so special about July 14th?
Finally I got a room at this hotel...
I heard that this hotel was just open for 2 weeks.. and it is near to the town area...
Well guys wish me good luck .....
I will head down to south.. passing Seremban, Muar & JB and will spend Sat night in Melaka...
So guys any suggestion on what "FOOD MUST EAT?"
Before I signed off..
HAPPY FRIDAY TO ALL and ENJOY YOUR GOOD WEEKEND....
Getting a hotel room is always a hassle!! HAHA
ReplyDeletedon't know much about the food around there but whenever I'm in JB, I'll go and find Hiap Joo Bakery! The coconut bread or peanut bread is soooo yummy! :D

besides that it is near to jonker street..
hmmm, as much as i like boutique hotels.. i prefer those simple modern and contemporary design, rather than those traditional and ethnic design lor.. because ethnic design feels like "ada hantu" like that~~
Deletebetul betul tu SK...me also sometimes scared of hantu
Deleteooo boy.... better don't take the risk huh...
Deletethen somemore Melaka sure got lots of killing....
eee .. think of it also scare le..
Hahaha... I also prefer the bright and modern design, scared of hantu!

yalor, those hotels at MV and also around Bukit Bintang always fully booked one lah.. difficult to get a room there.. but there are lots of boutique hotel mushrooming, can try your luck..
DeleteMy hubb doesn't like those hotels around shopping malls. He very cerewet one, prefer comfort to compact! One the other hand I don't mind any hotel as long as it doesn't look creepy and eerie!

from south to north...
Come to Sibu better - stay at my house free, airport transfers free, food free (including my own home-cooked specialties, money cannot buy one), tours around places of interest in town free... Where to find anything like this, I ask you? Wink! Wink!

Deletetapao durian puffs at Jonker street and walk on several steps further to Geographer for a good pint of Hoegaarden! :) sheer bliss. (after dinner of course)
ReplyDeletedurian + beer ... @.@"?
Deletetoo bad I don't like hoegaarden..
speaking of Geographer .. I went to Geograher Puchong the other day..
durian puff la...not quite a dangerous pairing per say. :) Malacca most happening place during weekend is very much Jonker. I think your wife would enjoy the shopping at the pasar malam. You can drink beer at Geographer while waiting for her. Ehm. Drink other type of beer instead. :P Enjoy your weekend!
Deletenever underestimate Malacca because it's really a very popular place for short trips!! in fact, i always expect Malacca to be very crowded during weekends, even during normal weekends..
ReplyDeletemy friend told me that there are a lot of Singaporean visit Melaka too..
DeleteMy Singaporean comrades told me that they like to drive some far places with their cars on weekends so Melaka is ideal choice for day trips. So many Singaporeans bought up so many old heritage houses along Jonker street and sapu most of the antiques. Now the shops even asked me to sell my antiques to them! I am reluctant to sell them but I am in the midst of making my new blog on my antiques to make them drool.
Deleteif i were you, i'll make sure i have the booking earlier.. don't care whether it's peak or non-peak lah, but the earlier you book the better it is mah.. have a peace of mind, and early birds enjoy more privilege too~~ :)
ReplyDeletehotel booking can be kiasu a bit lah.. unlike AA, you have to speculate when is the cheapest price so most of the time you can't decide whether to book or not, haha!! but for hotels, the earlier the better lah~~
Deleteaihhh .. i learn my lesson..
Deletenext time shall book the hotel once the trip is confirm..
Wow! Even all the 5 stars hotel with damn expensive price are full. Share about the hotel that you are going to stay, yeah! Cause I am planning to go Malacca again =D
ReplyDeletewah, going down south to JB?? dunno about JB, but i heard Muar got nice food and Seremban got the famous grilled crab, and of course the 芙蓉燒包 lor.. Malacca leh?? definitely more i think..
ReplyDelete粒粒雞飯, nyonya food, jonker street snacks, satay celup, nadeje's mille crepe, 陳金福 local delicacies, pineapple tarts.. wow, i seem to know malacca food a lot!! haha~~ :D
Deletenew hotel, i think no problem lah, sure will be very clean one.. and sure the service will be good, hahaha!! you try that out and then write a review when you are back lah (that i bet you will be doing, haha)..
ReplyDeletethe last time i went i stay in those boutique hotel, Hotel 88 i think, can't really remember the name.. i actually like those boutique hotel, because the design all the time are unique and contemporary, and the staffs tend to get more personal to the guests..
