PJ is always famous of good food .... nope I am not talking about SS2 wai sek kai (streets will lots of food stalls)....
This time I am talking about PJ Sction 17... it is near to the University Malaya (UM)...
It is an old neighbourhood and there are lots of UM/Tar/KDU students stay there.....
There is this particular Chee Cheung Fun stall that I personally like...
I had tried many but this one is really PLC .. (lol .. my concept of PLC again....)
Besides that I heard that it has the best curry laksa... hmmm .. i tried it but it is so so only..
well back to our main topic .. Chee Cheung Fun....
This shop offer 2 type of sauce .. brown sauce and curry sauce (which is the same as they use for their curry noodles)
Sorry the pic was expose by bright light...
CCF uncle... he like to praise pretty girl..
I once overheard his conversation with a pretty young lady....
He told the lady not to smile...
then the lady ask him why?
CCF uncle say that if you smile you will looks very pretty and
I could have cut my finger when I see you smile .....
So flirty .. hey concentrate on your work.. ur wife beside you.. LOL
RM0.70/pc..... (i think it is about the same as KLANG).
I like the crispy fried big wantan..
My wife love the "Fu Pei" and the Meat Ball...
All the Fu Pei, Fried wantan, meat ball
The sweet brown sauce..
the curry sauce..
by the way I like the CCF that is the "Thin" type..
the other type is the roll type....
This is because the thin type could absorb more sauce...
As for the roll type the sauce won't reach the middle ....
Just some personal preference...
Chee Cheong Fun my all-time favorite!
ReplyDeleteActually i prefer ipoh chee cheung fun..
Deletethey have the dried prawns and the vege stuffing inside... with mushroom sauce .
it will be great...
Where is this stall located? Looks like a nice supper place to go! =)
ReplyDeleteDo you know where is the Say Huat Restaurant in section 17?
DeleteYum list had post it before..
http://theyumlist.blogspot.com/2012/03/ah-hock-section-17-petaling-jaya.html
it just opp Say Huat..
where is say huat? its near the IT mall right?
DeleteNo... Pj digital mall is in section 14..
DeleteIt is in section 17... Try goggle map it..
My favourite.. never try the one in SS17, but I will go Cheras Yulek Garden to eat if I have the crave. Or the one in Pudu which only serve plain with no 'liew' one also NICE...
ReplyDeleteoo cheras yulek?
Deletehmmm next time I want to venture to cheras..
don't want just to stick to PJ food..
I like the thin type one too!! Ah~~ long time didn't have this type of CCF with brown sauce.
ReplyDeleteOurs one here is different, we got sweet sour chilli sauce instead.
oo sweet sour chilli sauce?
Deletefirst time I heard it.. is it the "tim cheung'?
Oh ya, tim cheung one, very nice with lots of fried shallot and sesame seeds.
DeleteI will go for his good food + his customers ..
Deletekakakakaka
Wei, don't say that uncle is a DOM la, he's trying to be friendly and attract more customers.
ReplyDeleteIt's marketing strategy, lol! I don't mind returning to this stall everyday to hear praises :p
Women fall for sweet talk easily~
what is DOM means?
Deleteoooooo .. something that I learn today..
I am so kayu ....
no wonder his stall is always full of pretty young lady..
and I like to go to his stall..
wink wink.. kakakakakakakaka
DOM ~ dirty old man, kekeke!
DeleteI know you go for the good food, not the sweet talk.
You got your PCL term, also got DOM term, hahaha!
DeleteWhat other terms, let your readers share or maybe you should collect a list and blog about them ;)
my other terms cannot share one ..
Deletemostly 18SX .. kakaka..
LOL! Like that baru interesting la~
DeleteAt least I can learn and won't curse the whole obscene words, only use short forms.
No matter how pretty is a girl, she still curse especially when the hot blood is boiling :p (curse inside the heart, hahaha)
I agree .. I always remember not to make a woman angry ..
Deletedon't "tak chui lui yan"
You jealous until no sweet talk you, ka? Kekekeke~
ReplyDeletelol.. sweet talk with me for telling me not to smile .... kakakaka..
Deletehealthy foods! yummy
ReplyDeletehehehe ....healthy I am not sure.. but certainly is cheap lo..
DeleteI think mainly cater to all the uni students there...
CCF uncle also so flirty one ah! No choice la! Business is very competative now. He has no good look, he has no more youth, he only can sweet talk. Sweet talk works like charm in attracting women one. For eg, when people called me "leng leng", "leng lui" or "leng sou", I sure grinned from ear to ear. When people called me "Aunty", I sure go to other stalls one.
ReplyDeleteIf he is older than me, somemore called me Aunty, how good his CCF also, I won't buy, I tell ya!
DeleteYan - have you try b4? It is very popular for UM students..
DeleteCertainly you doesn't look like aunty..
Ur picture always have a nice smile...
"beautify so looks you and" now you make me type wrongly...
It suppose to be "and you looks so beautiful" and I am not DOM ...
kakaka.. I am a fast learner...
lol Yan your comment made me laugh... and yes all women want to be called pretty :)
Deletei just had chee cheong fun yesterday :) i love the roll type, because i can just use a fork and eat it easily instead of using chopsticks which im not skilful in.
ReplyDeleteLatest: Worst in Town
aiyo .. last time my grandfathers is very straight on using chopstick..
DeleteHe will knocked my hand if I am using the wrong way...
Yum! Yum! I love roadside stalls. Hawker food's simply the best...but the surroundings must be clean. I see a lot of places, so shabby, furniture so old and wobbly and so dirty...no appetite to eat liao.
ReplyDeletehahaha..
Deleteas long as it didn't near the rubbish dump .. is OK for me..
over there you could see big rat..
yalor, there are always gems along the roadside that sells really yummy food!!
ReplyDeletebasically CCF is cheaper than YTF right?? CCF a piece only RM0.70, YTF a piece is RM1.00.. better eat CCF more economical hor??
ReplyDeletedunno this place lah, but the uncle really 口花花撩女仔, the wife just beside also he dares to do that, haha!! no wonder so many 靚女 buy from him~~
ReplyDeletedepend on my mood, sometimes i like the flat one, sometimes i like the roll one, hahaha!! but my style is lots of the 料 with two CCF only, and i like the sweet sauce rather than curry sauce..
ReplyDeletehave you been to the 為食街 at Pudu?? there's one curry CCF stall, very nice and always lots of people.. their 芋頭糕 also very nice.. their curry sauce is thicker than normal ones, and they give lots of fried 蝦米, so nice~~
ReplyDeleteactually SS2 food court not as nice anymore lah, become too commercial already and things are quite expensive too.. seldom go there now, i prefer the on at pudu..
ReplyDeleteaiyoh, need to wait for moderation.. i also can't remember what i commented and how many comments i spammed already..
ReplyDeleteSK- I also like YTF .. my fav is actually at the Puchong ..
DeleteWoman likes to hear nice words from guy .. no wonder so many woman kena cheated .. kakaka
n my wife is one of the victim cheated by me ..
Pudu? never heard about it.. I am sure I can find it since you say it is so famous..
Yes I agree .. I seldom go to SS2 wai sek kai..price is expensive and the quality is dropping... but there are lots of nice "People"
Come to penang lah, I take you to lagi geng one bro,, i promise,if no good, i migrate elsewhere too
ReplyDeleteok .. I shall make a plan.
Deletemaybe after the school holiday.. then can have some beers with you and Pg good food..
Flirty uncles makes ladies all want to come lah. After all, talk only. Flirty is not miang mah. And his wife won't be angry, not when business is good and $$$ coming in! LOL
ReplyDeletewhen flirty come in the mind .. then miang is following ..
DeleteYup.. like Yan & Yvonne say that everyday they will makan chee cheung fun if ppl call them leng lui .. kakakakakakaka
My buddy was recently telling me about chee cheung fun in section 17. I wonder if this is the same spot?
ReplyDeleteyes ..
Deleteit is just the opp on the Say Huat restaurant that you post before.
try the chinese dessert as well.. good..
I like the chee cheong fun from Petaling Street! or Imbi market one is quite nice but the owner is very arrogant! hmph! I like the thin ones as well and mine has to extra extra spicy!! :D
ReplyDeleteChee Cheung Fun from Petaling Street?
Deletemana oo?
I think the ccf (both sweet sauce and curry) there is the best! and good yong tau fu too in the same area!:P It's in Madras Lane (inside the wet market)- here's one of post about it: http://wedarefood.blogspot.com.au/2011/02/petaling-street-chinatown-kl.html
DeleteOR the ccf outside is also the same I think. I always eat the outside one because I'm lazy to go into the lane :P
Yooi Kee (outside): http://www.everydayfoodilove.co/2012/03/yooi-kee-chee-cheong-fun-in-china-town.html
thanks ya .. yeah another new CCF to try out.
Deleteheheh, maybe his wife will start flirting with you one day and call you 'leng chai' :D
ReplyDeleteSean mayb you are not aware ...
Deleteyou are actually a very very funny guy....
then everyday I will eat chee cheung fun for dinner .. kakakaka
Yes I like anything that is PLC!! Haha!
ReplyDeleteChee cheong fun is not my favourite food but I can survive on it lah LOL!
ReplyDeleteWah! The uncle so clever! I mean so clever to attract all the female customers to keep buying from him. Maybe the wife teach him one hahaha!!
ReplyDeleteI also love to makan stalls at the roadside. Some people might said not hygiene lah, but who cares. I not a big fan of CCF but I damn love all those fish ball, fish cakes, fu pei, fried wantan and more. I can eat them like almost everyday.
ReplyDeleteYer~ The CCF uncle somes like so ham sap. xP
Actually isnot hygiene but we get use to it....
DeleteStrong Asian tummy..
I brought my Italian colleague to eat there n the next day he cirit birit .....
Like they say female likes to listen n they come back d next day....lol
DeleteI prefer Tsui Kweh, if you know what I am refering to, the uncle so cute and flirty haha.
ReplyDeleteHmm wat is Tsui kweh?
DeleteChwee Kway always go with Chee Cheong Fun, it is a rounded type of rice cake with Cai Po on top of it, I wonder if they have it in Malaysia, come Singapore and I will introduce you to it :)
DeleteI love CCF in any form but its best when its only oil, sesame seed and soya sauce:D I normally leave the sweet brown sauce to cover the YTF ingredients.
ReplyDeleteMy personal best is d mushroom sauce.....
DeleteMy place selling at RM 0.80 per pc already...
ReplyDeleteSS2 Wai Sek Kai I dun see and taste anything super nice over there, was very common haha
ReplyDeletewould like to see what is near UM . . . got pass by but didn't went in there b4
