Raihan Nasi Kandar @ Glenmarie Shah Alam

My old company was at Glenmarie and shifted to the new premises at Shah Alam.....
I was around that area the other day and I thought of Raihan ..
some ppl say that it is one of the best nasi kandar around....

I went there and ordered nasi kandar ayam..... i think it has been 2 years since I had nasi kandar....

Fried ayam in the process...

Fresh hot fried chicken ...

Nasi Kandar ayam with some cabbage..
they put lots of difference curry gravy...
on top of it they put some crispy goreng stuff  from the ayam goreng..
It cost RM6.00

  2. 2 years since you had nasi kandar!!!! *shocked*

    RM6.00!!!!! *extra shocked*

Nasi kandar people, the knife very sharp one - they say they hear me speaking Malay, they know not local...can sharpen their knife liao.

In Penang, nothing cheaper than RM10.00...and in Sg Petani, the worst! Papadum, one piece RM1, they sold it sealed in plastic bag.

  3. Good Morning Hamsap Leng Chai... Nasi Kandar is my favourite too. The best Nasi Kandar originates from Penang. That is how the name came about cos so many Kandars lived there! LOL

  4. RM6.00 is quite reasonable for that amount. These days the mamak shops really cut throats! Long ago I only ate at the Kayu Stall inside the Chao Yang Coffee Shop in SS2 and it was like RM8.00 in 1993.

    1. You can't get that price even in Taiping! It's quite cheap la.

But I don't really like nasi kandar. Prefer banana leaf rice :)

    2. huh?? RM6 is considered cheap ah?? i thought this is quite expensive leh.. i would expect like around RM4 for that lah.. also, those mamak most of the time don't have standard how they charge one, goes by their mood or just hantam an amount to ask you to pay for it..

  7. chicken looks nice. i love nasi kandar, but i don't often eat it cos i have no discipline while ordering. my PERFECT PLATE of nasi kandar must contain fried chicken, cockles, fried fish eggs AND chicken liver, with lots of gravy :D

  8. I like the chicken... they marinated with some special spice and fry it, better than KFC and bestest of all~

    2. But then, I find SP's face is too common, no significant trademark on his face. I sill have hard time to recognize him even I stare at his picture for 10 times, each time 1 minute.

    3. I could not recognise him at all - I just guessed it was him as there wasn't anybody else at the time. Didn't look like the old photo...and not like this one either. Heheehehehe!!!
