Happy Dumpling Festival.......

I am very anxious waiting for my MIL's Ba Zahng....
this year she was rather late to wrap Ba Zhang..
All the times we ask her when you will wrap the Ba Zhang...
She just smile .. be patience... very soon... you just wait le ..
cepat (faster) le..

Yesterday my wife came back with a bag full of Ba Zhang .....

YEAH FINALLY......

Ba Zhang ingredients.......
This time my MIL make the salty egg duck by herself..
she said that there are too many chemicals in the salty egg duck that sold at the market...
so this time DIY salty duck egg...
lots of Ba Zhang.. hmm let me see .. breakfast 2pcs, lunch 2pcs, dinner 2pcs

Homecook Ba Zhang .... this is my first pc..
This time she also include some red bean paste..
MIL say that this is teocheow style...
I am loving it...

Besides that my MIL also make some Kan Sui Choong...

Have a good weekend and Happy Dumpling Festival...
Have fun ya....

  1. Very similar to yours, my MIL is a once a year dumpling seller. I help her to sell her dumplings to my colleagues also. She made the original dark colour one, the cantonese white with bean one, and the kan sui zhong. I am working today, later go home I can have a feast on dumplings already.

  11. Wah! 6 dumplings a day? I only ate 2 a day and now a bit scare. You're right! Teochew like to put red bean inside dumpling. Mom who is Teochew also put red bean and she made 100 dumplings cause many people requested from her.

Happy dumpling day to you and your family.
