最棒的油炸鬼 .....

There are lots of Yao Tiau shops around.... Some in d wet market, side road, n in the shopping mall.. 
I love to eat Yao Tiau a lot....
But sometimes when u c d frying oil... It was so black n it turns me off..

I was at SS2 pasar malam on Thurs night ..
There has a stall selling the best Yau Tiao...
the stalls is in front of Mee Yoke Lim (but now change to how how sek restaurant) @ PJ SS2 Cheow Yang
It always very floffy n fresh....
the best thing is the oil..they use new oil everytime .. do not recycle...
They do open in the morning ..

There is always lots of customer waiting to buy the Yao Tiau ..
Sometimes u need to wait for half an hour.... But it all worth it........

My wife was so sad when she missed his concert last year..

When she heard the news that he is coming to Malaysia again.......
she told me...
"This time I must watch the concert......."
as usual I just nod my head ......

Yesterday the ticket was started on sale.....
This morning she told me that she already got the tickets ...

She was so happy and jumping up and downs after got the tickets......

Last Sat I went to 1U to watch John Carter last Sat....
Nice n romantic show....

Since we are @ 1U we thought of trying Opica....
I had read a lot of good review about the place....

Actually I do not know where is Opica and we asked the information counter..
After knowing where the place we went there at no time .. coz we were so hungry .....

Lots of flowers ...... to celebrate the opening..

We ordered our food and I went to look around the shop.... found a lot of interesting stuff..

Linguine pesto with salmon .. (lots of olive oil)

d salmon was great . no fishy smelll

Then I asked the waitress for my order..

She was kind enough to check and chase for my order... scare that I waited too long....

Braise Chicken .... kinda a bit salty ..

but it is OK if eat with rice....

This is one of my MIL's specialty .. so kinda normal to me ..

fyi...I did not pay for the aglio oglio ... 

but I treat my wife OPICA..... :)

I enjoyed the John Carter a lot.. but my wife found it so so only ....

Everyone has problem ..... shall end with a light.....

It's been a very tiring week for me..
I had another visitor from my HQ (from the same dept.)
The reason for his visit is to fine tune the same direction with the Italy HQ and our Malaysia branch office..
He checked and verified on all our process flows n etc..

He is a very experiene guy and a very knowledgeable person...
During his 1 week stay.. he had taught me a lot of things.....
We share on our opinions on our dept and how it shall be manage and how to move forward ...

I would like to share this with you all some of his advise....

Thought of going out for dinner with my wife ..
but she insisted to stay home and cook something for me....

Ice Cream ... everyone loves it.....

Me and wife enjoy ice cream a lot....
That day we were @ Publica (BIG) and we saw a lot varities of ice cream...
We are like those ah Beng first time go to KL...
Our expression is like . wah .. ooo .. yummy....

Finally we choose this ice cream....

Cost is RM22.90..expensive huh... (from New Zealand)

Money or happy?

I bumped into my friend that day....
He was my x subordinate....
Just asking him how my previous company doing n hows work...
He told me that he was damn sien with d work...
Well I told him why not find another job....
He told me that he applied few jobs but no response.....
Hmmmm I just advise to him that don't worry...
I m sure that u will find a more happy n suitable job...

I reached home n then thought about his situation...
He is abt mid 30 n i think his current salary is abt 4-5k.....
D company pays a good bonus... Abt 6 mths...
His yearly salary could be RM60k + RM30k = RM90k
So if he looks for another job, I guess that he will b asking for RM7.5k
Hmmm 7.5k salary should b around senior manager/manager post.....
Current he is just a mid level position.....
How could he jump to that position.....

Well he is a family man n I think he will not look for another job which has lower than his current salary...
Hmmm mayb money to him is not a big deal leh...
Just wish him good luck.....

wife : really .. from where n what prize (sound very excited)..
me : you just won a dinner with your fei chai (fei chai = me)...

We went to Teo Chew Meng in PJ... (Teochew style)
We been staying around the area and yet we have not try it.

My MIL is Teochew ... so I guess that is why we don't eat there ....
later i complaint why her teochew food is not good (no comparison) LOL ..
just joking... later no more dinner for me....

We ordered the mee sua n oyster noodles which is the restaurat specialty...

lots of oyster, small prawns, fish ball .. the gravy is nice (like loh mee)

fake shark fin, crab stick, n some fresh fish meat

The portion is kinda small .. I could say that it is just nice...

We ordered a side dish to make ourself slighty full...

seafood roll .. just average ..

i think it is more or less like those hawker loh bak ...

then d bill comes ....

RM41.45 for the food .. it is very expensive ......

the mea sua n the oyster mee is worth to try ....
there are others specially .. porridge with seafood .....

Exhausted, Super Cold, ... n worried in China

When we reached home my wife took some chinese medicine ..
She was very tired and went to bed....
I pack for my business trip to China... aihhh ..
worried about my wife... she woke up and told me that she was feeling better..
My taxi will come around 11.00pm and I told her to go to my MIL's house earlier.....

I reached KLIA at 12.00am and it was really empty .....

it is time to sleep....

My eyes could hardly open and I don't know where to go .. 

my boarding time is @ 1.20am....

walk around the shops but most of them were close....

I saw some of the restaurant is broadcasting live on the All England badminton open...

Got myself a hot chocolate drink and enjoy the games..

I went to the gate at 1.15am and it was crowded with people...

Quickly got in and make myself comfortable and ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

3am .. the air stewardess wake me up for late supper .....

Can't believe that.......

It was freezing cold in Shanghai ... 0 Degree Celcius..

My counterpart told me that it was not cold and luckily I don't believe him and get some warm clothes..

Too bad I forget to bring my warm socks .. and my feet was frezzing cold ..

but my friend was kind enough to get me some warm socks...

My meeting went smoothly and then we went for lunch..

We had some white wine .. and my Italian director was praisig the wine .. saying that it is very good..

They add some onions into it ..saying that it will reduce the blood pressure..

wonder where do the chinese heard about this remedy....

Then we continue for our meeting... we finished around 4pm and they brought me for tea time....

We went to a small local shop for noodles and dumpling...

La mien.. i think they put some peanut butter sauce into it .. taste is kinda weird..

I wasn't feeling good after the noodles..

I went back to the hotel for a rest...

For dinner they brought me to a seafood restaurant ...

Uni .. sea urchin (it is about RMB20)

After that we had a few drinks in the bar and chat with my friends.....

I came across this small snack restaurant that were serving roti canai  .. in chinese style..

many varities of topping .. vege, bacon ham, pork, egg, taiwanese sausage...

Put the toppings in the roti.....

D masterpiece... it only cost RMB11 for all the topping (around RM5.50)

Very nice .. keep me warm in the cold whether...

Tommorow I will fly back to Malaysia .. wonder how is my wife?

She whatsapp me and telling me that she feels a lot better .. what a relief....

My friend came and pick me up at 11.30am to send me to Pudong Shanghai airport..

it takes about 2 hours journey...

they stop half way to get me some snacks....

some biscuit and tropicana orange juice  (the pulp is bigger compare to Malaysia).....

Many varities of cigarettes.. The most expensive brand is the Panda..

Cost about RMB100/packet (RM50/packet)

Reached the airport at 2pm and check in ..

Went to a local restaurant in the airport for lunch..

My lunch....

My dessert .. LOL...

My heart singing .. I am coming home...

I reached home at 10.00pm.. my wife is waiting for me in the house ..

She greet me with a big hugzzz n kisses ...

The best thing is that she already recovered ...

She say thank you for all your get well wishess........

Farniee, Tired, Freezing....... n sick.....

Last Sat I went to Genting to watch Jan Lamb talk show..
I had not been to Genting for almost 5~6 years .. kinda excited .....

In the morning I got some tidbits for the trip...
Had my lunch, pork noodles soup at Restoran New Seaview .....

We reached Genting at 3.00pm and then checked in to the First World Genting Hotel..
It was almost an hour for check in to the hotel .... aihhhh.....

The deluxe room . hmm last time i remember i got the single room n it was really small..

It was crowded due to school holiday .... but the crowd was not so much .. mayb ppl visit to Genting Singapore instead......

We went to the Arena of Stars to collect our tickets...
We bumped into few friends that happen to watch the comedy talk show also...
After that we had our dinner at Hainan Cafe at First World ...I ordered Pork Chop and my wife ordered the Chicken Chop....
Both are not good .. the taste is very odd ..
The normal Hainanese Chicken chop that I used to have is comes with Tomato sauce but this comes with cream sauce .. weird huh..
then the pork chop is put with venigar sauce .....

My wife was not feeling well after the dinner ...

We went to the arena of stars at 7.30pm.......and the show started at 8.30pm ......
It was very good.. I enjoyed most of it ... the songs were very farniieee....

After the show we stroll around the hotel .....
Then we went to visit uncle Lim's store.....
We were at the Wheel of Fortune...
I am not a gambler myself and I don't think so that winning just depend on pure luck..
I watched some games before I starting to bet ...
Uncles and aunties are the best persons to watch...
After few rounds watching them .. I started my first bet..
The minimum bet is RM10....
I bet 2 places .. total RM20 (the first bet is 1 to 1 and the other was 1 to 10)..
poop.. i lost all the 2 bets ...
It seems tougher than what I thought .. my wife was laffing at me...
I got 3 chips left ... (RM30)..
Again I bet 2 places (first bet is 1 to 1 and the other was 1 to 10) Total RM20..
I won the first bet . which is 1 to 1... I got back RM20..
Then I look at the wheel .. and try to look at the trend ...
this time I bet 2 places also (first bet is 1 to 1 and the other was 1 to 20)...
the guy spin the wheel .. n my heart beat seems to be faster ...
tup tup tup tup tup .. waiting the wheel to stop n my heart beat bcome faster ...

I yelled.. YES ... I won the bet that the winning is 1 to 20.....
I am RM200 richers (overall i won RM170).. yeah ...
I quit and quickly go to the cashier and cash out the chips ....

My wife and I was so happy .. we thought of going to Starbuck for a coffee and enjoy the cold whether..
but it was full of people and we decided to call it a day and went back to our room.....

The next day we wake up rather late .. coz we were so tired .. n the bed was really bad..
My wife had a bad ache on her back due to the bed...
She had a tummy upset and her back was killing her .......
We went to had breakfast at the Genting First World Hotel caefeteria (which come with the room)

It was so crowded and the food is really bad quality.....
We just eat some toast, fried egg and some fried bihun ...

After the breakfast.. we went back to the rooms coz my wife was not feeling well...
We sleep until it is time to check out...
There have this checkout machine which just put the room card to the machine n it is done..
at least I do not need to wait for check out...

I reached my house at 4.00pm and waiting for my next trip to China ...
I will travel to China on Monday morning (0140 hrs) to be continue ..........
