My Mum Porridge

My cough wasn't 100% clear and I still cough occasionally...
Like 2~3x in the afternoon and then 2~3x at night.....

I went back Ipoh last weekend and my mum was really surprise to see me that I LOST weight...
She was worried about my cough...
She make some chinese herbs for me.. She told me that it is good for the lung..
it taste exactly like the "Ubat Batuk Cap Ibu dan Anak"..
It feels food when you drink it..... I feel like the herbs smoothen my lungs..

She make some pork porridge for me..
wow it has been quite sometime that I tasted my mum porridge....

Very antique pot...

Cooking the porridge...

3 main ingredients..
Spare ribs, pork meat balls (make from mince meats) & pork intestines...
I wanted to put more fried shallots but mum does not allow..

I love it and I eat 3 big plates... LOL...

  8. SP,
I do hope you get well soon.

Are you seeing specialist for the problem.

Just worried because a colleague had been coughing for months and the GP at the panel clinic just brushed it off as normal cough due to the erratic weather.

Last week she was finally diagnosed (she went to HKL) with bronchiectasis. @.@

    1. I agree with lina, I will be very worry, if my girls cough persistently. SP, you better get it treated a soon as possible. It is not good to have persistence cough which has lasted you for months.

    2. i think cough usually takes weeks to heal one, plus the recent weather, really "hand leg long" most of the time.. don't cared SP lah, but now seems that he is recovered after drinking his mum's elixir~~ :)

    3. Now these comments got me worried pula. We cannot simply dismiss the cough and blame the colleague. It could be due to SP's own internal problems that surfaced coincidentally at the same time.

When I was a student is States, I met a Japanese who was a Sophomore year student and he was like a big brother who took care of me. He was coughing when I knew him and he dismissed it to the cold weather and other factors. One thing led to another, he was later diagnosed with pneumonia by doctors, so we worried lesser. In the end, his coughs spewed blood and it was cancer of the lungs which was spread from the spine! He died less than a year later. I was sad like hell.

This incident taught me not to take persistent coughs lightly!!!

    4. I think we all need to bundle SP into the car and drive him to see all the Chinese sinsehs!!!!

    5. I am sorry if I scared this fearless SP like hell, we mean well okay. Since the doctors cannot stop his coughs, perhaps the Chinese sinsehs could help as they might detect the pulse's signals. In the end the tabib will say to SP......"NO SEX FOR 3 MONTHS!!!!"

    6. TM,
I scared SP will faint if the sinseh mention no sex pantang for him. Don't say 3 months lah, 3 weeks also cannot tahan! LOL
