I feel that the food is really authentic ..... and taste is GOOD...
Few weeks ago I accompanied my wife to Klang...
She wasn't so familiar about Klang and I had stay in Klang for 2 years during my college time...
After she finished her stuff she ask me to bring her to eat something "Klang" food..
but she doesn't want to eat Bak Kut Teh
So this restaurant came into my mind....
Peng Heong Hakka Paikut (Hakka Pork Ribs)...
the pic above is the BOSS..
Last time I use to come over here for their famous paikut (pork ribs)....
That time it was operate in a small stall along the street..
Now they had move to a bigger restaurant..
I remember that it was so hot and I was sweating when I had lunch over there...
Spacious and could accommodate a lot of customers....
Their famous Pai Kut...
Meat texture is really nice and the soya sauce is just perfect..
Pig stomach soup..
I remembered last time the soup had a strong pepper taste..
but now the taste was not that strong as previous...
maybe they add more water and the soup was diluted...
We also ordered the fried pork meat balls..
it was one of their signature dish..
Besides that their steam chicken, curry mutton/chicken is also very good..
One of my PLC restaurant..
I remember that after a good meal, we always hop across and have a cool refreshing Klang Cendol...
Cendol Klang 1972
SP, you ate meat, meat, and meat only.
ReplyDeleteYannie is kind of depressed due to the weight gained of 1 or 2 kg in every year.
DeleteSo Yannie thinks of cutting down in meat intake.
DeleteYannie - As women ages, their hormones go haywire and fat will accumulate! Sure get fatter and happier. So need to change diet slowly and exercise more. BTW you are too skinny like Pink Panther.
Deleteyalor, only meat meat and meat, not a single plate of vege also.. he wants to gain back his meat that he lost over the weeks~~
DeleteHaha, may be meat is more filling kua!
DeleteSP's diet consists of meat only - Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
DeleteSupper also meat - Fui Fui's royal meat :p
Anyway this Peng Heong Hakka Paikut sure is fui fui's favourite, as she is a Hakka.

ReplyDeleteYummm...the Hakka pork ribs looks tantalizing...Going to google for this full add!
ReplyDeleteHow to know whether it PLC or not? SP..you never mention price pun.
ReplyDeleteYawor..the Pig stomach soup looks so transparent. Really not enough pepper.
Yalor, say PLC but no mention the price, say the best cendol in Klang but no cendol photo.
DeleteNext time don't put the cendol shop to avoid misleading.
Hahahahahaha!!!!
DeleteSP gone hiding...never reply comments pun... =p

ReplyDeleteI am sure SP's cholesterol level is higher than mountains! Go check & see!

Bak Kut Teh College?? wow, i bet the most famous BKT chefs in Klang Valley graduated from there??
DeleteKlang hokkien is the worst hokkein speaking I ever heard. Sorry sorry, no offend. I just find Klang Hokkein sounds very awkward.
DeleteNot only Klang Hokkien, I don't understand JB Hokkien also.
DeleteI am used to the JB and Klang Hokkien now. My headache is the Taiwan Hokkien! They will make me laugh! I saw old angry market woman scolded a man in a market in Taichung. I just stood there laughing.
Deletenever got chance to step foot in Klang yet.. only went there for 'transit' to Pulau Ketam.. :p

ReplyDeleteNice! I probably would be going to Klang more often starting next month, I'll go and check out their pai kuat. I've been craving for that for a while. My favorite childhood dish is sweet and sour pai kuat "wang" (don't know if the term is used here - in Sarawak it means no bones).
ReplyDeleteCheers for the recommendation! :)
Usually we go for Mo Sang Kor in Klang, maybe can try this place next time.
ReplyDeletei would want to try that pig stomach soup, it is very similar to our batchoy in philippines which i miss so much
ReplyDeleteTried once, I prefer the meat balls than the pai guat :)
ReplyDeleteGosh, my kind of food all the way. Feeling hungry already now.
ReplyDeleteLast time I stayed in Klang while going to college also. But all I can remember was the Great Wall supermarket and taking the bus there to my grandparents' house in Tmn Sri Andalas. xD
