This is because I always remember that cherries always taste like cough mixture... blerghhhh
Then during my uni times, I have the chance to eat fresh cherries ...
Taste was so sweet and I love to eat cherries from then onward....
I was around at JJ 1U and I saw a lot of fresh cherries from Canada & US...
and I grab 2 boxes of it.....
within the night me and my wife had finished up the 2 boxes...
Fresh cherries - RM11.80/box
:( very expensive.....
I remember that I have a friend who love to drink cherry cocktail.....
and she got a little trick of hers that she could use her tongue to tie a knot on the cherry stem....
no wonder she was hot among all my friends...
Tie a knot using your flexible tongue...
I goggle a bit on this special skill..
there is this step by step to teach you on how to tie a knot on the cherry stem with your tongue.
here it is...
kekeke .. my tongue was not so flexible ..
my fingers are equally good to tie the knot..
try it and maybe you could gain this "special skill" and someone will love it...
OMG.....that's amazing. Never knew the toungue can do such an amazing job besides then...ehemm..ehem..ahahhahahahah
ReplyDeleteI love cherry too.. no need much effort to eat.. LOL! I tried tying the knot of the cherry stem too but fail.. :p

DeleteWalau eh! 9.37am, Tan Sri Annay Kim is still ding dong in the towel, spraying perfume at you know what inside the towel. Me envy le, always rushing like hell in the morning.
DeleteYan,

DeleteWhat a luxury to feast on 2 boxes of cherries in one night!! Both of you played cherries and decorated them on your bodies ka? Or you played marbles with them? So creative!
ReplyDeleteCherries, whipped cream or choc syrup... = messy fun!
DeleteYou tried that already right, SP? ^^
plus boiling strawberry sauce!! make it steamy and saucy enough for the night!!
DeleteFresh cherries arrived in Malaysian market so late when they actually existed thousands of years ago! I also love the fresh cherries now but I still ate the pickled sweet ones when I was small. I was so sick and drank cough mixture so often that the old cherries were no difference!
ReplyDeleteMe no really likey cherries. Don't know why, maybe it reminds me of cough mixture~
Deletebut try frish one leh, Yvonne. Fresh one not like cough mixture.
DeleteI loooooooove fresh cherries. But cannot afford to buy them myself. Wait for people to give only la...
DeleteLater some law firms will sent out mooncakes.. sure got a box or two of cherries from MBC. Can't wait to wallop them. Must make pitiful face at Boss so she can give me some! LOL
the fresh cherries are so much nicer than the pickled ones!! infact those cherry syrup taste like medicine, but surprisingly fresh cherries taste so nice..
Deleteanother thing i can associate with medicine is almond.. the almond itself taste nice, but after processed it taste like medicine..
I love cherry too! wow, I would love to try tying a knot such as that with my tongue haha, :-) happy day to you :D
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing. I thought we could only roll our tongue..
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should try that one day..
DeleteYou should have told me earlier that human tongue can do wonders such as tying a knot. Now my tongue is so keras already, not flexible to do any tongue twister, let alone knots, kakaka!
ReplyDeleteNow my tongue is only good in one thing, ahem~~
DeleteAnd lucky no complains from my hubb, wakakaka!
DeleteWhat?!
DeleteMy taste bud is still good, la! Sweet dish supposed to be sweet and sourish one stays sour. What are you thinking?!
Cannot do play-play with tongue often... Hubby always cannot tahan and want to "lepas" cepat. kekeke

DeleteBut, aunty here needs to see a video to demo how to tie knot with tongue. Sp, can you record fui fui in action?
DeleteCherry, I think I will like la! I can accept all types of fruit one. My tongue is long, but isn't trained to tie knot like this.
ReplyDeleteI can spend a lot on fruit alone. I just ate sour sop, chempedak, and langsat over the weekend.
DeleteYou know,
Deleteanother proof that this Simple Person is not simple at all. He talks about eating imported food.
He doesn't talk about eating manggis, langsat or even jambu right? ;p

DeleteWhy on earth would someone need to tie a knot with a cherry stem? hahahhah
ReplyDeletePrecisely!!! Tongue exercise maybe... Later can do other things, a lot better, more flexible! True or not, SP?
DeleteYa I hate those cherries on top of the cakes too. Taste like cough syrup. My son also dont like.
ReplyDeleteWould prefer fresh cherries much much much nicer
DeleteChow Yang Pasar malam got one old man in a bike stall sell cheap fruits leh. SOmetimes when cherries season got very cheap cherries leh. Localed at the Nasi kandar junction. Usually i go there around 5pm. Not sure bynight time he is still selling or not coz many people buy from him. His fruit is much cheaper.
Deletelast time i like those pickled cherries on top of the cakes one woh, hahaha, very nice mah.. but then still the fresh cherries are nicer lah i have to admit.. how much is that old man selling a box of cherries??
DeleteI usually ask the bakery to replace those cherries with fresh fruits cut. Cannot tahan to eat those cherries. I'll puke.
DeleteThey say US cherries not so sweet, New Zealand ones better. To me, all the same - no money to buy...so not cherries to lick lick, suck suck.... Muahahahahaha!!!! Wahhhh!!!! Whose tongue so lihai...can tie knot some more? Later something get pak-see-kat (all knotted up)!
ReplyDeleteI love cherries! They're so expensive here though.
ReplyDeleteCherries are nice to eat...but here selling so expensive~ =(
ReplyDeleteWhy need so troublesome to tie knot...just chomp the cherries. Later ppl ate 5, u only had 2..bcos bz tie knot. hahahha
you only know how to eat... kakaka
Deletewa sei! use tongue to tie knot for cherry stem, incredible!
ReplyDeleteIf you come to plaza mont kiara Pasar malam on Thursday evening, the cherries are usually priced around rm 55 for half a kilo. Is urs cheaper or plaza mont kiara?
ReplyDeleteof course yours is more expensive..
DeleteRM11.80 = 250g
RM23.60 = 500g (0.5kg)
So it is double up the price.. :)
It's hard to get fresh cherry in my country... they are always preserved or made into candy whenever i try to look for one in the supermarket... you are lucky!
ReplyDeleteCherries are very nice and..... expensive! droooll.. hahahaa...
ReplyDeletei just had cherries yesterday! courtesy of homies hehe
ReplyDeleteyeah, i agree with you SP.. last time the impression of the taste of cherry is cough syrup, haha!! but i still ok with that, always pick the cherries on top of cakes or cookies to eat.. :D
ReplyDeletewhen i first tried fresh cherries, the taste is so different from my expectation.. i thought it would taste like what i've used to, but then hey, not at all.. fresh cherries are really a lot better!! sweet and i like the texture too..
ReplyDeleteNext time I go Tesco and see got fresh cherries lo~~
DeleteTry it since SK said it's a lot better than the dried one.
there is no JJ in Taiping?
Deletebut then it can be so expensive!! just a small box of 250g cost around RM10.. many times i just see see, feel like buying to eat, but at last let's just forget about it lah..
ReplyDeleteSK .. sometime we need to pamper ourself...
Deleteonce in a while get something and reward ourself..
we been working so hard and RM10 for a packet.. not too much to ask right?
fuyoh!! what kind of tongue skill is that!! can even tie a knot!! amazing lah.. hehehehe, you and fui fui must be busy practicing that lah.. later she ties a knot on your tongue, or maybe your stick!! wakakaka~~
ReplyDeleteDon't play play, SP. Later, get twisted and the knot cannot be untied, it will hurt your family jewel.
DeleteYannie, don't be funny here. How to tie his family jewel, the Fun Cock? If Fui Fui wants to practice her skill, the Fun Cock will be up in action and not lembik like snake lor...
Deletegosh, i think my tongue will be exhausted before i succeed in tying the cherry stem! :D
ReplyDeletetraining make perfect.. kakakaka
Deleteso that you could train up your tongue to be more "active" and build up the stamina..
I love red cherries too, only the fresh ones also. I used to eat it very often too. RM11.90 actually not bad, I saw in Cold Storage they were selling for RM21.90.
ReplyDeleteI think the one that you got is 0.5kg?
Deletethe price shouldn't be too far apart..
Cheries sounds . . . . ok I no like cheries due to the taste and some bad memory . . . :P
ReplyDeletecherry definitely not a cheap fruit, only can buy once in a blue moon~~~
ReplyDeleteCherries are not cheap but I do mind paying once a while as a treat.
ReplyDeleteI love this cheery! But not cheap leh~
ReplyDeletecherry stem know? its a talent..
ReplyDeletemakes my tongue twisted..and tired hehehe
I think i'll stick to eating cherries =D
ReplyDeletei love cherries, always have it at home when they are in season.
ReplyDeleteI love fresh cherries. Not tried knotting the stem but wil probably give it a try:D
ReplyDeleteI used to hate cherries too, becos all the ones back home were yucky and tasted like cough syrup. Until the day i ate fresh cherries. No turning back now (on fresh ones of course).
ReplyDelete
