Sin Kee @ Brickfields KL

One of my favorite food is Hainanese Chicken Chop...
Yut Kee is still one of the good ones..
However it seems that their quality is dropping..
maybe too many people and they couldn't mantain their quality...

SK told me that the pork chop at Sin Kee is very good...
Me and my wife went over there and tried their pork chop......

Sin Kee restaurant...
We were there about 12pm....
less crowd.... but it was crowded at 1pm...
So go early...

Pork Chop .. looks so delicious..
Sin Kee = RM13 Yut Kee price is RM10... 30% higher...
But Sink Kee's portion is bigger compare to Yut Kee..
Sin Kee has lots of green peas and red beans... and I like the potatoes ..
Yut Kee has a stronger taste on the gravy...
I would prefer Sin Kee...

We look around the shop and we saw that they are actually famous of their "Man" Rice
My wife order that... It was a very big portion
Lot of ingredients (pork. lap cheong)...
But we feel that it was just average...

We ordered a side dish...
Pork soya sauce...
The taste is unique..
They put some "tau chu" and some ginger...
I remember that my mum use to cook this style but she cook it on the fish not pork..
I would say that it is nice... something difference..

I will definitely go back again..
They also offer a lot of dishes and you could have lunch/dinner with your family...
Very nice..... Price is slightly expensive but the portion is BIG .....

  5. 12pm is a good time to go, i think after 12:30pm there will start to be crowds rushing in.. no idea about weekends, but last time i was working in KL Sentral, it's always packed during lunch time.. so we usually booked table and also ordered the dishes first if we are going in a gang..

  6. the 炆飯 really so so only lah, i don't actually fancy that, after eating that i feel so "jelak" lah.. maybe because it's huge and with lots of ingredients like seafood and meat, then people like that.. i prefer their fried rice a lot more, they use luncheon meat, lap cheong, pork and prawns to fry.. RM7.50, slightly more expensive but then again, huge portion and lots of ingredients..

  20. My kind of food but I stay away from Brickfields because of the traffic and parking issue. Btw, I grew up in Brickfields, 20 years staying in the government quarters.

  21. This place is pretty famous for its signature rice (mun fan). Most of office workers would go there for lunch due to its price and portion. I've been there once and I quite like their rice but getting a place during peak hours is a nightmare.
