Buka Puasa - Atrium Cafe @ Sunway

I love the spirit of buka puasa....
When I was 17 years old, I work as a packing assistant supervisor...
I have to work in shift - morning and night..
Most of the workers in the factory are Malays...
During Ramadan (in the night shift) they ask me to join them for buka puasa..
Each of them bring some dishes and we share among ourself..
it was fun.. exchange dish and chatting with them....

This year I had 2 buka puasa dinner with my colleague...
1 dinner with the all the workers in the company and another dinner with my colleagues in my department...

1st Buka Puasa Dinner
On the first dinner I didn't manage to take a lot of pictures..
This grill lamb is what I love the most..
I took some and it was really delicious and boy I felt so hot later of the night......

2nd Buka Puasa Dinner...

I like these asam pedas dalam belanga

Nasi Briyani with roast beef...

I didn't take many pictures as most of the food are quite normal buffet food...

This is the first time that I took all the food and place on the table and wait for the GOLDEN TIME....
It is really suffering.. can smell and see the food but cannot eat..

The food wasn't so great but we enjoy the dinner....
It was really fun and we didn't talk anything related about work... Stress Free Dinner....

If you are a CIMB credit card holder you could enjoy a promotion rate of 25% discount or buy 3 free 1 promotion in Atrium Cafe @ Sunway. It cost RM100/person
I think it is a good deal....

  4. I love the 'ramadhan' too! I previously worked with the Bumi company, and I am one of the minority, so in order to respect them, I 'puasa' together.. and 'bukak' also together.. it's a totat 1Malaysia spirit.. no need any propaganda.. guess this all trained during my school days...

  5. Buka Puasa trend with Muslim colleagues have been a trend since many years ago. However these days the restaurants and hotels are so aggressive to advertise suggesting bosses to bring their workers makan together!

  10. Previously one of the to do activities during the ramadan month was to visit the ramadan bazaar to discover good food. But dunno y, this year I am just very lazy to get moving :)

  11. There are always a lot of promotions during the fasting month.. to ease the burden of cooking after a long day at work.. now people take it easier unlike those days, cook and cook tirelessly.. I also like fasting month cos this is the time when we can go off work half an hour early.. :)

  18. No buka puasa buffet for me... Had my first ever gout attack after the one I had at Pearl International many years ago - that was terrible!!! The pain was killing and I could hardly walk for days!!!

Anyway, these days they're darn too expensive...and I cannot eat so much anyway. One helping and then, fruits and dessert - definitely not worth paying so much just to eat that!
