Jyu Raku @ Subang

I had some good Japanese food at Jyu Raku few weeks ago...
I did blog about Jyu Raku before....
My ex-boss (Japanese) love this place a lot..
told me that the taste is authentic and very original ..
.... to me Japanese food is Japanese food le...
how do I know whether is authentic or not..

Salmon salad

Soft shell crab wrap with thin slice of cucumber..

I order a fried soft shell crab and then a plate of thin cucumber slice..

Very nice and it just perfect with the combination ..

Cold cucumber with hot fried soft shell crab..

tuna sashimi.. 

I like the grated wasabi.. 

the one that we normally eat in those japanese restaurant are from the powder form..

then I have the grill scallop..

I love this... they put  mayo, crab meat ...

grill king prawn... 

uni .. sea urchin..

another fantastic food... 

Grill Kobe Beef.. 

my friend told me that it was perfectly grill.

Grill Fish.. I don't what is this fish call..

but the taste is nice and the meat is fresh and sweet..

not a big fan on grill fish..

Of course with a cold japanese Sapporo beer.. 

gulp gulp gulp.. 

Today is the eve of Merdeka & Hungry Ghost Festival....

My Happy Breakfast

We were quite lazy & tired to go out for breakfast....

I suggest to make something nice and simple......

Sausage wrap with bacon....

Normally they call it Pig in the Blanket.....

Buschetta... this time i add some chop onions and black pepper..

love it...

Salad.... wild rocket, fried egg, crispy bacon, lettuce

last but not least .. half boil egg..

We had some great simple happy breakfast until we watched the show... 

The Dinosaur Project is a shitty movie

We had a wonderful last Sunday weekend ....
and everything was perfect until we decided to watch this Dinosaur Project...

I saw a lot of parents bring their kids to watch this show..
Most of the kids like to watch Dinosaur movie and and I am a BIG kid as well.. lol
I thought it was something good like Jurassic Park ...sighh ...

The story line is OK but they film it using a cam style..
which means that a lot of image shaking, zooming in and out, a lot of pictures that out of focus..
it just make you dizzy...

We watched it for 30 mins and my wife said that she can't take it anymore...
She close her eyes and sleep..
then the guy besides me ran out to the toilet and vomit.. damn..
After awhile I was also feel dizzy and told my wife that let's go back..
Wasted RM24 for this movie and in fact the show was full house that day..
Some parents want to bring their children to watch this DINOSAUR movie..
It was the worst movie that I watch so far and the first time that I walk off before the movie end..
I think a lot of people also went off later....

If you do not want to get dizzy or vomit PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS DINOSAUR PROJECT...
it is really a SHITTY MOVIE...

Raihan Nasi Kandar @ Glenmarie Shah Alam

My old company was at Glenmarie and shifted to the new premises at Shah Alam.....
I was around that area the other day and I thought of Raihan ..
some ppl say that it is one of the best nasi kandar around....

I went there and ordered nasi kandar ayam..... i think it has been 2 years since I had nasi kandar....

Fried ayam in the process...

Fresh hot fried chicken ...

Nasi Kandar ayam with some cabbage..

they put lots of difference curry gravy...

on top of it they put some crispy goreng stuff  from the ayam goreng..

It cost RM6.00

Base of Wet & Wild Pizza

I am using this as the base of my pizza...

It is like a tortilla wrap.. It is thin and turn to crispy crust after cook in the oven...
try it and save all the hassle.....
So if you want to make a pizza all you need is about 10~15mins...
have fun....

Wet & Wild Homemade Pizza

We were talking about pizza the other day....
how nice if we could custom make our own pizza.. put extra ingredients, vegetables, mozzarella cheese and so on...

That day we finally try and make our homemade pizza......
We buy some scallops, prawns, bacon, sausage, wild rockets, mozzarella cheese, tomato....

we were so full after the pizza meals... 

I think we shall skip pizza for few weeks now... 

blurp... do you smell the seameat pizza?  lol..

it is really fun to make your own customize pizza..

Hiking @ Gasing Hill

SP disappear .. no update in his blog for few days..

I am back now...
just that I thought of giving the "internet" a break during this Raya holiday...

I didn't go anywhere this week or balik kampung (Ipoh) for the Raya holiday..

I just stay & relax in my house....
as it is 7th month in chinese calendar and it is better to just stay at home...

Parents were here during this Raya break but this time they stay at my sis place.. 

Last Saturday me and my wife went to Gasing Hill for hiking...

It was our first experience .....and it turns out tougher from our expectation..

I always love outdoor adventure since I was a kid... 

It was tough for my wife as she is not into those hiking adventure.. climbing up hills, jungle trekking..

When we went in, we heard a woman said " I saw a big snake"

Immediately my wife was panicked.. she afraid of snakes...

It was a steep mountain hiking and make sure you have enough of stamina to go for it..

A lot of mountain climbing .... 

and it is good to bring a walking stick along..
It will be much easier when you go up steep hills... and walk through the jungle..

TM advise me to be careful that there are a lot of robbers who take your wallet and hand phone..
Hmm I think it is better to go in a big group....

The Expendables 2...

Last Saturday I went to watch Expendable 2 with my wife...

and I was excited about the show..... 

We manage to get Hall 2 at 1U which is one of the big hall... 

as usual it was full of explosive, gun fighting and kung fu fighting .....

It was too loud for my ears.. coz of all those kaboom,,, bang bang bang ... grrr grrrr grrrrr...

It wasn't something strange to me.. 

After all I grew up watching Sylvestor Stallone movies like Rambo, Bruce Willis for Die Hard, Jean Claude Van Damme for Kickboxer, Jet Li for for Once upon at time in China, Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator, Jason Statham in Transporter  ......

and also Chuck Norris.. opps it was my dad's time.. 

Gee... it really brings back my memories... 

Those movies are a big hit during my time.. no one could have miss it..

in fact I do have some dvd collection on these movies....

After awhile watching the movie.... I feel that it was rather funny......

1 movie and I could have all legendary actors.. and they still could kick some ass...

Do they get these inspiration after watching the Avengers? 

or they have a get together during a MAMAK session and have this idea to come out a reunion movie....

So that the fans still could taste the "First blood" after all these years.....

During the show my wife whisper to me .. it is all grandfather actors... lol...

The most handsome and young actor dies at the beginning stage... and left with all those "OLD" ones..

Well I think the new generation won't be so interesting on these action super gun fighting movies....

They are more interested in comic heroes and .... hey... 

transformer are from my era too........

so what next are going to be a hit? ...... maybe Ultraman ?

Loong Foong Seafood Restaurant @ Seapark

Last Friday I stayed home alone as my wife was busy.....
Well no more phone calls from her to date me on Friday night....
She got date with her girlfriends @ Brussel, Sunwany

After work I stopped by this restaurant before heading back home...
I always pass by this restaurant....

Famous roast duck ... RM50/bird

Some people say that the roast duck is one of the best

I order 1/4 portion

very crispy, meat is tender, 

with sauce.....

I love the sauce as it has some chinese herbs in it..

 They also famous of their acar-acar...

I guess my wife will be having this with her che mui:-

Leffe brune .. one of her fav....

Jogging @ KLCC & Breakfast @ Yut Kee, Dang Wangi

Yes.. I started back my routine weekend jogging....
after giving the excuse of the haze, trip back to Ipoh, Malacca and laziness..
I have no more excuses..
Last Sunday my wife suggested to go jogging at KLCC ....
I say why not.. lets try something difference...

My first date with my wife was at KLCC (long long time ago......)

A lot of joggers but I feel that the air wasn't that fresh and kinda dusty...

I still prefer Tmn Tun...

After that we went to Yut Kee for breakfast.. hehehe ..
This is our 2nd time visit to this restaurant...

As usual there is always lots of people..

but we don't wait long..

The boss did a good job on the crowd control...

While waiting for tables we ordered 2 pc of egg roll..

Egg roll wasn't that good.. and my wife even found egg shell in it..

but I see ppl still order boxes to take away... TOURIST TOURIST.. kakakaka

Texture is a bit rough.... 

We ordered the Hainanese Chicken Chop ..
which i feel that it is nice..

Hainanese Chicken chop .. not bad...

Then the roast pork.. fresh out from the oven...

We are just on time.. 

only available on Sunday..

Siu Yuk with apple sauce..

The apple sauce wasn't as nice as we tried the 1st time..

maybe they didn't use the Washington Apples.. lol

We had the french toast with kaya this time
just average french toast but the Kaya was good..

The kaya's appearance wasn't so nice (not smooth).. 

but it taste good...

I think it is the same kaya as the egg roll...

We also ordered Fried Tong Fun...

This was really awful .. worst fried tong fun that I ever eaten..

I saw few tables ordered Wat Tan Ho, Hokkien noodles, Loh mee...

By judging of its looks it really not worth to order...
better save your money and go other places to eat....

After that we thought of going to Hor Ching Yuen (around Kenanga wholesale city area)..
that is where my wife grew up....
She thought of tah pau the Hakka abacus dish & the Hakka "soon pan".. but we were too late and all sold out...
so disappointing.... but we tried the Hakka noodles..

Very nice and my wife like the pork balls.. 

Delicious....

If you like Hakka food and you could visit this shop..

They offer some traditional Hakka food....

The best Hakka food to order - abacus dish, soon pan & hakka  mee (only available Sunday)

The stall open at 7am... we reached there at 11am (all the good food were finished)...

Green View Restaurant @ PJ

This is my first visit to Green View Restaurant ..

I heard so much about it.. some say that it has the best Sang Har noodles...

That day my friend ask me to have dinner with him..

So I suggested Green View...

This is what we ordered...

Of course the Sang Har Noodles.. 

I see almost all the customers over there order this dish...

Noodles are very crispy and the gravy is very nice..

I feel that the taste of the prawn's meat wasn't so springy enough....

Overall it is very good....

Kam Heong La La

It was very good and the kam heong taste was really perfect..

it has small dried prawns.... the La La is big 

Fried Prawn Mantis w/ salted egg
Very crispy and the the batter was very nice..

The salted egg is just perfect not too much or too little..

Bullfrog with spring onion..

Taste is OK but the bullfrog is a bit small.. 

Just average for me..

By the way they also serve crab... but we did not order as my quota was over this month....
