Simple Fried Rice.....

I love to eat fried rice.. but always got scolded when I order fried rice when eating out..
WHY?
coz my wife always say . come out for dinner and you still order fried rice...
try something new....
Next time should call you Mr. Chow Fun (Fried Rice)...
Maybe you think that fried rice is something easy but ..
to make a delicious Fried Rice is not something easy.....
There is one day .. my wife cook fried rice for me...

P/S : For Taiwanese .. Chow Fun (fried rice) has another meaning......

If you are not sure then look for a Taiwanese and  ask them what does Chow Fun means to them...

Relaxing Saturday....

Its been 1 week that Euro 2012 had ended..
No more sleepless night and no more wake up at noon...
Life seems to be kinda boring..... aihhhh ...

Yesterday I downloaded an Ipad Game...

very cute and interesting game.....

Nasi lemak, Ipoh White coffee, my ipad & newspaper...

This morning after my breakfast and normal blogging...
I continue to play this game...

Hope that I could get some good bargain tommorow at Maybank treats fair..
I hope to get a Pressure cooker/ Thermo pot using my treat points...

Maybank Treats Fair is back.....

Yay .. TGIF .....
I am sure everyone is looking forward for  a good relaxing weekend...

As for me I will be going to Maybank Treats Fair at Midvalley this weekend..
Hopefully I will get some good bargain using my Credit Card treats point....
I had been there 2 times (2010 & 2011).. gee time really flies... another 1 year...

Maybank treats fair will start on th 5~8/July

If I am not mistaken they only accept Maybank Credit card...

Currently I am using Maybank AMEX card and it really give me good treat points...
If you use it during weekends you could get 5x points
(eg. my normal petrol usage is RM250/mth...
I will get 5x treats point which means I will have 1,250 points)
Besides that it will give you cash back up to RM50/mth
(with discount 5% when you spend during weekend)
One bad points is that AMEX card is not widely acceptable ....
so some shops do not accept it ..
This is because the charges is the more expensive compare to Visa & Master Card..

At this TREATS fair you could personalise your atm card design...

I think it cost RM12/card...

my wife want my atm card to be personalise like this ...

Could you guess the reason?

Ipoh Chee Cheung Fun (CCF)

Previously I blog about KL CCF and I say that Ipoh Chee Cheung Fun is difference...
I had been craving for Ipoh Chee Cheung Fun (CCF) since then....

When I went back to Ipoh.... my food list is CCF, CCF and CCF.. lol..

My mum always ask me what I would want to eat?
I say CCF .. then my mum ask me again .. besides CCF?
hmmm CCF and CCF...

My mum must be thinking...... 
"sui chai" (bad boy) didn't you know it is my birthday and you don't even want to treat me good dinner ..
only want to eat CCF .. lol

You must be wonder why I say 3 times CCF right...
I wanted to eat 3 types of Ipoh CCF

CCF 1 - Dried Prawn Chee Cheung Fun with mushroom sauce

I love this old man CCF..

His CCF was reviewed in the Star newspaper

This is the mushroom chicken CCF with wolfberries...

I put too much of gravy..... (too greedy)..

CCF 2- Chee Cheung Fun with Vege stuffing & mushroom sauce...

This is my fav CCF ...

It has some fried shallots and dried prawns on top...

some sweet sauce (tim cheung) & green chilli pepper..

my wife loves it also...

the stuffing are long beans & sengkuang

CCF 3- CCF with curry gravy & pig skin.

Well I skip this as it is very common in KL (my tummy can't fill up so many things).

I have to save up rooms for other good food....

Need to keep my mum's SOUR HAPPY FACE :) since it is her Birthday..

A small town call Bidor....

When I was a kid, my dad use to bring us to Bidor....
I got few relatives staying in Bidor and besides that my dad likes the Bidor's famous duck noodles...

I am sure you all know which restaurant that I am refering....
The famous Pun Cheong....
It is been so many years that I did not visit this small town...

As some of you all know that I went back to Ipoh recently to celebrate my mum's birthday...
My wife suggested to stop by Bidor for lunch...
We start our journey back to Ipoh around 12noon and we reached Bidor around 1 something...

These are the food that we ordered...

The famous duck noodles

I love the herbal soup.. it has the sweet taste of dried longan n others chinese herbal..

I saw some people order the dried version..

It comes with a dry noodles and with a bowl of duck soup ...

Should be very nice...

Wan Tan Mee...

The char siu is not that great (very red)..

but the noodles is very nice... very springy taste...

I could say that it is one of the best wan tan noodles that I tasted so far....

I like the wanton .. nice and big..

I also order the wu kok (yam dumpling stuff with char siu filling)

It is very delicious...

Bidor price = KL price

RM7/bowl for duck noodles

Now Pun Chun seems like a tourist attraction area..

sells a lot varieties of biscuit...

there are a lot of stalls selling fruits..

but becareful .. some of the sellers are cheaters..

The sellers cut some jambu air for us to test.. and it was very sweet

We bought a packet but it wasn't so sweet as we tested..

Besides that there are no price tag on the fruits..

so ask for it before purchase...

It seems that Pun Cheong become a tourist attraction area..

When I got back home (Ipoh) my dad told me that Pun Chun duck noodles is not that nice....

He informed me that there is a shop in Kampar which is better....

Next time .. next time...

Move over Kucing Gunung Raja Durian....

I passed by Kampung Subang that day..
We saw a few roadside durian stalls
My friend suggest to stop by and eat some durian...

We saw some small durian kampung - 6 pcs for RM10

The seller was hot selling this type of small durian..

We ask for Kucing Gunung Raja and the guy say that it is better to take the

Old Raja (King) Durian.... ??????

The seller help us to open all the durians

the durian is so small..

actually this durian is small because it is from an old durian tree...

 it will have maximum of 2 seeds in 1 small durian..

the meat is yellowish colour...

The seller gave us 7 durians instead of 6 durians..

All the durian has difference taste - sweet, bitter,

It is very nice.. and is better compare to Kucing Gunung Raja Durian...

Definetely worth of money...

If we get the Kucing Gunug Raja Durian .. i think it will easily cost RM60~70/pc

Besides that I feel that Durian Kampung is safer to eat..

compare to those branded durian ..

Those branded durian is very poisonous...

coz the farmers put lots of pesticide to save guard the fruit from insects...

When I was younger, my dad bought a lot of durians when there is a season..

and I think 5/10 durians.. sure got ulat (insects)..

but now when you eat those branded.. all of them 10/10 are OK...

Durian Kampung - PLC........

Yucks .. it is so bitter...

Did you all try chinese herbs before?It reminds me when I was a kid.. my health wasn't very good..
My mum always bring me to see chinese doctor .....
I really hate the chinese medicine ... bitter, dark and hot...
My mum had a hard time to ask me to drink the bitter herbs...
As a result .. my mum start to bribe me .. RM5/bowl... kakakaka...
but money wasn't eveything.. it is very bitter and I can't drink it...
Say no to Bribery.. kakakaka
So at the the end I got the Rotan(cane) ...
sighh.. so cham .. have to drink bitter herbs after kena rotan (cane)

Last Sunday I went to see the chinese doctor....
and I got these....

I remember last time they wrap the herbs in paper..

aihhh .. the bitter chinese herbs...

The doctor advise me :-
1) take bathe not later than 7pm
2) Sleep before 10.30pm
3) Drink more water
4) Eat more fruits....
